In addition to smart phones, watches, cars and houses, people in the future will probably own smart pets. As a matter of fact, smart dogs may not be such a far-fetched idea because French manufacturer Haier created a prototype device named the GPS Pet Tracker. Basically, your dog will never get lost again.
The GPS Pet Tracker looks like a slightly bigger name tag attached to a collar. If your pooch runs after a car, cat, or goes missing for whatever reason, the person who finds them can immediately contact the owner thanks to a SIM card slot that essentially turns your beloved furry friend into a phone!
When the rescuer presses the red button, the tag will automatically dial one of the three pre-determined emergency numbers, and speak with the owner.
The price for this device will be between $100 and $150. Though it’s not cheap, it’s a useful gadget that will enable you to locate your dog’s whereabouts at any given moment. Besides, it’s pretty awesome to say you have a smart dog.
