2. Bottle puzzle

This one’s pretty amazing, and innovative as well. Take two wider pieces of wood and fixate them so that they are facing upwards. Find a metal pipe (any small old pipe will do, really), then drill a hole into each of the wooden pieces at the same height. Drill holes of the same size through a couple of empty plastic bottles, fit the pipe through the bottles, and then through the holes in the wood. Make sure that the bottles aren’t touching the ground and that they can spin at 180 degrees.

Now for the important part – before you assemble this little contraption, put some dog treats into the bottles and remove their stamps so that one can easily see the treats inside. Your dog will surely smell the treats from a mile away, but they will have to work hard in order to realize how to spin the bottles to make the treats fall out. It’s a combination of making your dog use their wits and testing their patience while keeping them entertained, which spells “good fun” in our book.
