3. Papillon

Papillons, or Paps as people often call them, make both wonderful agility partners and home companions. They’re spunky, adorable, dexterous, intelligent and they love having a good time.

They often fool people who don’t realize what outstanding athletes live in those small, cute bodies, but agility exhibitors have always been familiar with the “Power of the Pap.” You wouldn’t believe how fast a Papillon can run and how high they can jump, especially when you take their small size into account.

They are gracious when they run and this might explain where they got their name from (‘papillon’ is the French word for butterfly). They are also willing and able to work and they consider running an extremely fun activity. They are often found at the World level in the mini category.
