Eugene Bostick, a merry 80-year-old retiree living in Fort Worth, Texas, might just be the most awesome man on the planet – officially, he retired about 15 years ago, but he hasn’t let that stop him from being productive and innovative.
He says he has never imagined he would be spending his last years on Earth helping pets in need – instead, he claims it has become his duty because of the cruelty of other people. He says that folks would often come by their horse barn and dump dogs out there, heartlessly leaving them to starve. He would take the dogs in, feed them, take them to the vet and so on.
During the past 15 years, Eugene has embraced more abandoned dogs than you can count – and he hasn’t just given them a home, he’s found a phenomenal way of keeping them entertained and happy. Apart from the vast amount of room his dogs have on the farm, he thought it would be a cool idea to take them on little trips, so he built a train just for them.
Every morning, Eugene takes his dogs for a ride around town, or through the forest close to their home. Not only has he given these dogs the love and care they so desperately needed, he has given them incredible amounts of happiness as well.
