2. Dachshund

The Dachshund, or weiner dog, makes for a good bird dog because its low to the ground stature is great for tracking and pursuing. The weiner dog makes a good versatile companion because it is suited for family living but its 17th century European roots of hunting fox and rabbit are still evident in the fearless Dachshund today.
