- Philadelphia Dog Saves Owner By Calling 911

Who is to say that dogs aren’t our very best friends? And not only that, they can be our saviours when the need arises.
Meet Yolanda, a golden retriever and a service dog tending to a blind woman in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia. Apparently, their house caught on fire on Thursday morning, and Yolanda reacted by calling 911 on their specialized phone.
She then proceeded to pull her owner towards a safe spot away from the fire, and when the firefighters showed up they were able to rescue them both. Yolanda’s owner was taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation – luckily, there are no serious consequences to her health. If you think that’s impressive, this is the third time Yolanda has saved her owner from harm. She’s a real superhero!
