A little Springer Spaniel named Leia and her owner were strolling down a beach in Wales when they stumbled upon an unusual scene.

At first the owner didn’t notice anything; he was fishing for Bass and taking photographs, when all of a sudden he heard Leia bark frantically. Apparently, she had found what appeared to be a baby dolphin stranded on the rocky beach, unable to go back into the water.

With no one to be seen for miles around, he gently pushed the dolphin back into the water and everything turned out just fine in the end. To quote the kind dog owner:

“If it wasn’t for my dog barking at me I would have missed him!”

Maybe Leia was just curious and barked out of excitement, but Springer Spaniels are known to be affectionate and benevolent, so maybe she decided to help this poor guy out by alarming somebody to put him back in the water, who knows?
