- Is This Tiny Pup The World’s Smallest Dog?

As a species, us humans are amazed and almost obsessed with extremes. We even have a book dedicated to the curiosities and the extremes of our world – the Guinness Book of World Records. Well, it seems that the book will be getting a new entry, and in the category of the smallest dog in the world, no less.
Toudi, a tiny Chihuahua living in Poland might just become the new smallest dog in the world, standing a tad over 2.5 inches tall and weighing 300 grams. If you have difficulties imagining its size, it can fit in the palm of your hand and is smaller than a can of soda. Put it next to a pear, and it will be shorter.
Toudi first rose to fame when the British Daily Mail published photos of the little dude next to miscellaneous small objects to illustrate how tiny this little guy actually is. Toudi has an older sister who is twice his size.
The owners of the tiny pup are hoping that their four-legged friend is tiny enough to land a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records. It is both an honor and it can also mean serious bucks for the family, seeing that it will probably garner even more attention for Toudi.
