Tillie and Phoebe had been missing for 7 days before people from the local non-profit organization found them in the woods. The scene was as touching as they get, with Tillie watching over Phoebe who got trapped in a cistern. Both dogs are alright and they are recovering after their week-long ordeal.

The two dogs left their home in Vashon, Washington on September 7 and when they did not return home later that day, their owners started searching for them. After a few days without success, the Vashon Island Pet Protectors got involved and one of their volunteers called Amy Carey took it upon herself to find the dogs.

It took her two days to do that and when she finally did find them, she saw Tillie standing guard and protecting her friend.
