Meet Bretagne, the beautiful golden retriever that was one of the first search and rescue dogs to set paw on Ground Zero in search of survivors. In 2011, Bretagne and her handler were in Texas Task Force 1, and it was an intense first mission for any dog.

She has celebrated her 16^th birthday just recently, and she celebrated it in style. Together, BarkBox and the dog-lovers at 1 Hotels brought this canine hero back to New York to celebrate her special day, and it was beautiful. Just take a look at the video below, and you will see what we mean.
