When a lioness rejected her three cubs in Terfihiyye Zoo in Gaza City, the staff of the zoo thought their little lives were over. Sadly, for two cubs that was true. Desperate to find a solution and save the third baby, they turned to a vet who told them that dog’s milk is very similar to that of a lioness.

Fortunately, the Zoo has a dog who has just recently become a mother and is breastfeeding her puppies. She has been more than willing to adopt the little lion, and although it was a little difficult at first, the cub is now eating well and thriving. The proud mother feeds the baby lion as soon as she is done feeding her own puppies.
