Apparently, a coyote decided he had the munchies for some dog meat, and went into the backyard of Demi Lovato’s LA residence. Unfortunately, her pet dog Buddy was in the yard at that moment, and being small and not-so-very strong, he couldn’t do anything to repel the intruder. What makes things even worse is that it was actually Demi who found him afterwards.

Nobody should see their pet ripped apart by a wild animal, and that’s a fact. But this isn’t the first time something like this has happened – remember, Miley Cyrus’ pet dog Floyd was also killed by a wandering coyote, and who knows how many other pets suffered the same fate. Lovato was so stricken by grief that she had to cancel her appearance on “Good Morning America,” which was scheduled for Thursday.

A sad day for Demi, and our thoughts go to her. RIP Buddy.
