Dobermans have long been the canine symbol of guardianship and bravery. 1. The Man who Created the Breed was a Tax Collector
The first person to breed Dobermans was Louis Doberman, a German tax collector. Not only was he a tax collector, but he also ran a dog shelter in his town. He crossed several breeds of terrier and the Rottweiler to perfect the Doberman we know and love today.
