1. Provide Plenty of Toys and Exercise

If your rambunctious Flat-Coated Retriever has too much energy to spare, it will be a lot harder to rein him in. This breed will get bored easily and exhibit negative behaviors just to get your attention, so make sure you provide your dog with plenty of stimulation throughout the day, including toys, such as puzzle toys and chew toys, as well as exercise outside.
