Independent and territorial, the Scottie makes a loyal companion for you and your family.

Add to that a low-shed, hypoallergenic coat and minimal grooming and you’ve got an all-around great pet. If you ask them to do something, they will always want to know what’s in it for them.

They excel at agility, seriously. Consistent obedience training is very important for these dogs. If you do not establish yourself as the pack leader, your Scottie will. But it’s all worth it in the end, to have a gentle, loving, loyal, intelligent, protective, sensitive companion.

A dog who will want to watch TV with you and sleep in your bed!

Fun trivia: The Scottie dog has made many appearances in popular culture and in the arms of celebrities. One of the most iconic Scottish terriers is memorialized in a Monopoly token and Scotties have occupied the White House on at least two occasions (Franklin D. Roosevelt and George W. Bush).
