5. Boo

Boo is another dog whose fame has been more than well documented and who has become one of the biggest online animal celebrities. In case you have been living in a cave for the last 5 years, Boo is the cutest little Pomeranian with the cutest little haircut. In fact, his haircut is the main reason why he started being famous.

His owner Irene (who later turned out to be a Facebook employee) created a Facebook page for her cute Pomeranian, with a statement:

“My name is Boo. I am a dog. Life is good.”

The first celebrity to notice Boo was Ke$ha who tweeted that she had a new boyfriend, linking to Boo’s page. Khloe Kardashian also proclaimed her love for the little dude.

In 2011, a book called Boo: The Life of the World’s Cutest Dog was published by Chronicle Books, written by Irene under pen name J. H. Lee. Another book was published later, with many more in the works.

Since then, he had a Gund stuffed animal made after him and he was appointed the spokesdog for Virgin America airline.
