3. Another Dog Survives Illinois Tornado

John Byler Dann and his four children managed to survive the tragic tornado that hit Illinois in 2013. They were thankful, but saddened when they realized that their beloved dog Maggie was missing afterwards.

John and his friends began searching the flattened rubble of their former home. They heard the sound of barking coming from an area of debris. After digging into the wreckage, they lifted a heavy piece of masonry and discovered Maggie alive, trapped in carpeting. The dog suffered from shock, dehydration and a dislocated hip, but still wagged her tail when she saw John.
