2. Pit Bull Dexter Struggles for 9 Days after Tornado

6 month old pit bull Dexter hid for 9 days in the aftermath of a tornado that hit Illinois in 2013. He survived on snow and puddles after riding out the storm in an apartment. Rescuers found the terrified pup and coaxed him out of hiding with hot dogs. He was happily reunited with his owner, Illinois National Guardsman Spc. Jacob Montgomery.
