8. Pet Dogs, and Their Owner’s, Aren’t Wild Animals

While it’s good to treat a dog like a dog, it’s also important to remember that domesticated canines and their owners are not wild animals. Cesar’s heavy handed approach is intended to recreate behaviors that would be experienced in a wild pack. We are not equipped to do the same, which leaves enormous room for error and miscommunication with our dogs.
