7. The Wolf-Based Alpha Approach is Inaccurate

Cesar, and many old school dog trainers, based their methods on the alpha concept inspired by wolf packs. The problem is that this research was done on wolves in captivity. Wolf behavior expert Dave Mech studied animals in the wild and found that much of the alpha theory may be severely inaccurate.
