This Pup Might Have A Guardian Angel
Meet Nosey, your not-so-average Chihuahua-Schnauzer. He’s amazing anyway, but what’s fascinating about him is that he’s 14-years old, diabetic, blind – and he survived getting hit by a train and recovered after only a week! That sure spells ‘miracle dog’ in our books.
It was just like any other Friday evening when Janet Sorensen made supper and called her two dogs, Gus and Nosey, to come inside. But something was wrong – Nosey wasn’t responding and he was nowhere to be found. Janet was looking for him until three in the morning and continued her search the following day.
Luckily, she wasn’t the only one looking for him. As Animal Control officer Howie Wiedman explains, their dispatcher received a call from a train conductor who reported that a dog was hit by a train. Wiedman found Nosey and immediately notified Janet that he got hit by a train, reassuring her that he was alive. She rushed to see her 14-year-old companion, and all was well. Here’s what Janet said:
I didn’t think he’d make it through the night, but he’s a fighter.
