22. Basenji

Now back to another dog that you won’t have to groom every day. Basenji are hunting dogs with very short coats that hardly shed. They are hypoallergenic and you will almost never have to groom them.

Even though they are hunting hounds, they actually behave more like terriers. This means that they are very feisty and high octane dogs who can tired out just about any person, or dog for that matter.

This dog is very clever and independent, which means that they might be a little hard to train since they tend to be pretty stubborn.

And if you catch a Basenji licking itself and cleaning itself much in the same way that a cat does, don’t be alarmed. That’s what they do and it’s a completely normal thing for them.

You’ll also catch them chasing animals and birds around the yard very often, since they are hunting dogs and that’s just in their nature.
