17. Border Terrier

This is a breed that was made to go out hunting and live the rugged outdoor life. So it really is no surprise that it is a very low maintenance type of dog. If you hate having to brush your dog all the time and clean up shedding hair, then a border terrier should be at the top of your list.

Of course, their hair is not only very easy to keep, it’s also completely hypoallergenic. They are also incredibly companion dogs. Sure, they love to go out with you and hunt foxes, but if you are just looking for a great companion, you can’t really go wrong.

But this is not a dog that you should get if you are away from the house a lot. They love to be around their owners and constantly interact with them. If you leave them alone all of the time, you might be coming home to a mess very often.
